We’ve all hit the “wall”. We’re cruising through the day, fueled from our morning coffee and high on sugar from the donuts in the breakroom. Then BAM! We suddenly lose our focus and drive and our productivity drops throughout the rest of the day. 

When our bodies are not operating at their highest level, our brains aren’t either. Physical Activity, and Dance specifically, is not just to keep you looking your best, in fact, that may be the least important factor of physical fitness. Numerous studies have shown that even small amounts of physical activity throughout your day drastically improves your ability to concentrate, problem solve and increases your productivity. It further increases confidence and aids in stronger interpersonal relationships by quickly relieving stress and anxiety. 

In this presentation, you’ll learn how combining cognitive and physical activity can drastically improve your productivity at work and your quality of life in general. We’ll get up and move to learn some quick and easy exercises you can bust out during your busy day to keep you focused and strong. You will see that working out your body doesn’t have to be time consuming and tedious and you can reap immediate and substantial rewards from small changes.

Alison Trowbridge is the owner and lead instructor at Cardio Barre Santa Barbara. After spending 12 years in the corporate world, she left to pursue her passions in dance and fitness. She strongly believes that physical fitness is a key factor in living your best life. She is a wife and mother of two young boys, so she is always on her toes, at work and home.
